Courtesy Louis Armstrong: Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans I miss it both night and day I know that it's wrong... this feeling's gettin' stronger The longer, I stay away Miss them moss covered vines...the tall sugar pines Where mockin' birds used to sing And I'd like to see that lazy Mississippi...hurryin' into spring The moonlight on the bayou.......a Creole tune.... that fills the air I dream... of oleanders in June...and soon I'm wishin'that you were there Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans And that's where I left my heart And there's something more...I miss the one I care for More than I miss New Orleans The city sure has a hold on you...... I visited again after 2 years. It felt as if I had never left!! Everything was still so familiar, welcoming and friendly. Of course this time I visited some places that I had never been to before. First of all we decided to skip our favorite Marriott and stay at a Bed ...

New Orleans is one of the original cities in USA. The beautiful St. Louis Cathedral in Jackson Square, French architecture in French quarter, a few centuries old historic houses in Garden District (yes, yes I know... few centuries old is not historic... but it is in this country!!!) and of course Mississippi.......... You can enjoy Madras coffee and Beignet at cafe DuMond (not kidding... try their Cafe Au Lait) or any kind of live music at one of the tons of lively bars or cafes, maybe enjoy a few drinks in the balcony of Pat O' Brian's, shop for souvenirs at French market, enjoy some hookah and belly dancing at Hookah cafe............... The list goes on and on and on..... This city is really not like any other in this country... You have to be here to enjoy it...........

As Mon put it correctly, I feel like I am visiting my mayka. Last year at this time I was getting ready for my graduation, waiting for my family to arrive. It's also been almost an year since I left New Orleans. The place feels exactly the same..... welcoming and loving!!!! Tulane looks absolutely beautiful and I am debating whether I should go to Stanley Thomas or not. I am not sure if I can handle it.. I have a long list of things to do: Shop at French market Eat at Lebanon's Meet Ms. Toni, both Ms. Jeannettes, Don and Wanda Spend some time with Mon and lots of time with Arun n Shilpa and uncle and aunty Run at Audubon Park Three weeks are just gonna fly, I am sure.......
