Mid Life Crises

I am sitting in my hybrid workshop and people are talking about mid-life crises. SS says "Men have..." and NN says "Affairs"..... Eventually everyone agreed that men have mid-life crises and that buying a fancy car is an innocuous way of dealing with mid life crisis rather than having an affair and of course we all agreed that women are too busy balancing too many things in life and don't have time for mid life crises.

What an interesting session!! That's what I need in the classroom... A lighter side!!

hell! NO.. men or women..we all have mid-life crisis.
It's just so convenient for our male dominated,deeply impregnated thoughts, to have such prejudiced opinion for women!
And buying anything,fancy or not, is no more a way to deal with it.

WE definitely have moved beyond that!

I keep adding new songs to my iPod every now and then and keep listening to the new ones over and over again. Yesterday for some reason I decided to listen to some older songs and decided to go for Jhankaar Beats . Saawariya

Like I had decided quite some time back, I rented Saawariya DVD to enjoy the movie on my widescreen HiDef TV (seriously, it's much better than the Indian theater that I went to last time). First of all I hated Salman Khan. He looks like he froze when shooting one of his older movies.... the same expression (or lack of any...) plastered on his face ALL THE TIME. I of course LUVED Ranbir Kapoor, liked Sonam Kapoor, much better than Deepika Padukone (that brouhaha about her was just hype I think...or maybe a good strategy by SRK!!!)... When the movie ended I thought, this can't be it.... all this for nothing???? I was disappointed... I guess I was expecting a miraculous change of heart and Sakina falling head over heels in love blah blah blah... I was expecting the usual Bollywood drama and romance, but SLB style.... meticulously made, beautiful to the last detail.... which it was sans the usual happily ever after ending...
